Rock-a-Thon

Rock-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser. With the New York trip next year, we need to do our best in this event.

Rock-A-Thon is Band and Orchestra’s largest fund raiser and best opportunity to add funds to a students account. Beginning the third week in July students sell ads for the Sponsors Directory which is used by the over 400 Band and Orchestra families. Directory ads from 1/3 to ½ to full page sell for $100, $150 and $250 respectively. For an additional $100 anyone purchasing an ad of any size can become a Gold Sponsor and have their ad appear in the concert programs for one year. To appear in the directory all ads, money, artwork must be turned in by October 17^th.

For the students who have sold a minimum of $100 in ads / sponsorships the fund raiser culminates in an all-night party. This well-chaperoned event includes a dance and DJ, games, prizes, crafts, skits, movies and lots of food and fun.

Rock-A-Thon is one of the few fund raisers where the individual student participating in the fund-raiser can benefit financially. After having raised the initial $100 in ads / sponsorships to qualify for the party, any additional moneys raised for ads / sponsorships is divided equally between the Orchestra general fund and the students personal account. Moneys within the students personal account may be applied to any Orchestra related fees. All monetary donations are gratefully accepted.
