The Borders at the Avenue Booksellers store has provided
the Walton High School Orchestra with a fund-raising opportunity on Saturday
December 20th that provides Walton Orchestra students the ability to
raise funds by gift wrapping purchases made by any patron of the store for tips.
Barnes & Noble will provide the necessary supplies (in-store space,
tables, gift wrap, tape, ribbon, scissors, etc.) for the students who will, in
exchange for tips, (all of which are to be deposited in the Orchestra general
fund) wrap patrons purchases. Students and chaperones are required to staff the
event throughout the day (from the stores opening at 9:00 AM until closing at
11:00 PM).
