Walton Symphony Orchestra: Practicing Hard!

Walton Symphony Orchestra is practicing hard to be ready for our performance at Lassiter Concert Hall on Wednesday, October 16 at 7:30 pm. We are excited to be playing the first and fourth movements of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, the Main Title from the Star Wars Suite by John Williams (not an arrangement!), and Conga del Fuego Nuevo by Arturo Márquez. As we continue to make great progress in class, we hope that everyone is spending some quality time at home with any tricky spots in the music, especially Star Wars. Be ready for Monday night rehearsals!

Walton Symphony: Midwest is almost here!

After a successful preview concert at KSU’s Bailey Center, the Walton Symphony Orchestra is just days away from their trip to Chicago to perform at the Midwest Clinic! Symphony members, you may want to start packing (and check the weather so you don’t freeze). Final exams are just around the corner, but relax- an unforgettable trip is coming up soon!

If you have any questions or concerns about the trip, make sure to address them as soon as possible so that we can have a safe and awesome time in Chicago!

For all things Midwest, including a packing list, medication forms, and exam reminders, go to the Walton Orchestra Midwest page.
