Spooktacular

Bringing the Magic of String Instruments to Young People.

When is Spooktacular?

The Walton High School Orchestra will be sponsoring the 5th annual Spooktacular concert and play this year on Saturday, October 25.

What is Spooktacular?

The magic of string instruments will come alive again this year for children at the Walton High School Orchestra’s 5th annual Spooktacular concert and play. This year’s show will be an adaptation from the Cinderella and will be geared to introduce young audiences to the joy of music. "Spooktacular has been developed to introduce children to string instruments in a fun and interactive environment," said Perry Holbrook, the Orchestra Director. "In addition to raising money to pay for equipment and special instruction, this performance helps in developing a talent pool of young musicians to insure the long-term success of the Walton High School Orchestra."

The Orchestra will perform two concerts at 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM. Music related arts and crafts activities will be provided to all children before and after each concert. In addition, ½ size instruments will be available so that children can experience what it is like to play a string instrument.

Why Spooktacular?

This performance helps in developing a talent pool of young musicians to insure the long-term success of the Walton High School Orchestra.

How to Attend  Spooktacular?

Parents and children are encouraged to come to the concert in a costume. While the show is appropriate for children of all ages, it has been geared specifically for children between the ages of 4 and 10.
